It is not always laughter and joking at the hip hop group Van Kwaad Tot Erger (VKTE) from Breda. Situations easily get out of hand so that the members of the group come into conflict. In the end the fights in the group are always resolved no matter how rough it sometimes goes. The members are not only friends with each other, but the group also operates as a real family.
This warm, loving side of VKTE is not really visible to the public eye.
The rappers present themselves on stage like a bunch of marginal characters constantly making parodies of the hip-hop image.
Filmmaker and dj of the group Lennard Schoonheim sees it all happen behind the scenes. He was the last to join the group and as an outsider it took a while for him to be accepted in the close-knit family.
VAN KWAAD TOT ERGER is short documentary about what it meant to be part of a cohesive group.
