Drona & me is a portrait of the autistic Hindu boy Drona. We are watching him through the eyes of Arjun, his elder brother, and so a lovingly double-portrait will be formed of those two brothers.
Drona & me won the prize for best director at Bosi Fest 2010 in Belgrade, Serbia. The short film by Catherine van Campen recently also won the award for best documentary at the ViewFinders Festival in Halifax, Nova Scotia, by a special youth jury.
For Drona & me director Catherine van Campen has won the award for the best script at the Kids & Docs project, organised by the Dutch Cultural Broadcasting Fund, IDFA and Cinekid. The premiere was at IDFA, the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam. In 2010 the film was screened all over the world including festivals such as Berlinale in Berlin, the Sprout Film Festival in New York, the One World Film Festival in Prague. The film still can be seen at te Jerusalem International Children's Festival, Divercine in Uruguay, Make Dox in Macedonia, the Kos International Health Festival in Greece, Pärnu in Estonia, Emotion Pictures in Greece and Look&Roll in Switzerland.
