This documentary provides an in-depth portrait of the island Sark. Sark is a community of only 550 people and although formally part of the United Kingdom, it is actually constituted with its own parliament and laws. The documentary is the first co-production between Dutch broadcaster NPS and French-German broadcaster ARTE.

Remarks: The film has been shown at the Dutch Film festival 2002 and has been broadcasted in 2002 by NPS and in 2003 by ARTE. Also Sark was selected for the Astra Film Festival of Sibiu 2002 in Romania and for the 35th International Festival of Tourism Films and Videos in the Czech Republic where it received a diploma of appreciation.
