A documentary about an environmentalist protesting against the destruction of an environmentally vital area by setting fire to the excavators 17 times. Also, the film is about the difficult relationship between him and his father.

Remarks: ‘Valley of Tears’ is a co-production with Dutch broadcaster VARA television and was shown in November 1996 and awarded Winner of the 1997 PRINCES’ AWARD for the best audiovisual production on Europe’s environment.
