Synopsis

Drona & me is a portrait of the autistic Hindu boy Drona. We are watching him through the eyes of Arjun, his elder brother, and so a lovingly double-portrait will be formed of those two brothers.

For Drona & me director Catherine van Campen has won the award for the best script at the Kids & Docs project, organised by the Dutch Cultural Broadcasting Fund, IDFA and Cinekid. The short documentary which premiered at the IDFA international documentary film festival in Amsterdam was showcased at the 60th edition of the Berlin film festival Berlinale, where it had a chance to win the Crystal Bear. Since then the film continually can be seen at prestigious festivals all over the world.

The documentary won the prize for best documentary at ViewFinders 2010 in Halifax, Nova Scotia and also the prize for best director at Bosi Fest 2010 in Belgrade.
